Self portrait

This is what happens when I'm waiting for a program to install. :/ Speed painting of my FACE.

Hey derr boys...

Project for my drawing and painting class. I originally started with an acrylic painting...worked on it in 3 long ass sessions and hated the result. So I went back to the drawing board and tried a different medium (ink, charcoal, pastel) and this was created. Significant improvement compared to my first try. All characters I've created, from left to right: Evan Veloso, Anthony Veloso, Kirk Sabrosa. Inspired by The Expendables 2 posters. Muscle reference only used, lighting was from own interpretation so if there are mistakes, they are my own. :)

Trigger happy

A painting request from a friend that I had been working on within free time. Finished it in 3 sessions and was happy with the result, and so was he :) Kind of a thank you gift for taking me to the gun range and experiencing true awesomeness.

"How many would you kill to see your wife again?"

Haven't done some artwork for myself in a long time. I started rewatching Spartacus: Blood and Sand and then listening to RED's new album and one song in particular inspired me. Out of all the songs I've listened to 'Hymn for the Missing' seemed to really portray the story between Spartacus and his wife. Only music can make me pick up a pencil and result to this.

I guess you can say this is a tribute to the late actor Andy Whitfield RIP
